The Children’s Cottage (Mahie Paradise Place)
In addition to the main house and the guest house, we have a third, small cottage designed to match the look and feel of the other structures on the property. It blends in naturally rather than feeling like a novelty or afterthought
Overview
The cottage is 10 feet by 10 feet, with an overhanging roof and a small porch. The interior space is approximately 7.5 feet by 7.5 feet, compact but thoughtfully finished. It has electric power, lighting, and comfortable furnishings, giving it the feel of a miniature cabin rather than a shed.
It works beautifully as a dedicated space for children and, when we’re hosting a larger group, doubles as a surprisingly comfortable bonus sleeping space. Despite its size, it feels intentional, private, and well integrated into the property.
It’s a small structure, but it adds both flexibility and charm, and fits seamlessly into the overall character of Mahie Paradise Place.
